Vietnam Flavor Tour | Local Breakfast & Countryside Moments
7:00 AM – I pick up my guests at the resort. She’s a Korean designer. He’s a Belgian photographer. Both well-traveled, both curious. As we hop on the motorbike, they ask me: "Tram, what’s for breakfast today? Anything special?"
I just smile, start the engine, and let the scent of the countryside answer for me.

7:15 AM – Nghệ An-Style Eel Glass Noodles Our first stop: a tiny roadside eatery where an old woman still cooks miến lươn (eel glass noodles) the way her father did. "Is it spicy?" they ask. "Just a little – enough to wake up your soul," I say.
Slippery noodles. Crunchy eel. Fragrant fried shallots. It’s not just food — it’s a regional memory, served in a bowl.
7:45 AM – Local Market Snacks – A Bite of My Childhood We walk through the village market, no signs, no guides — just laughter and colors. I invite them to taste diffirent food: Khúc sticky rice, Ramie leaf cake,...
They look at me with wide eyes: "This… this is real breakfast."
8:30 AM – Coffee at the Lakeside Next, we ride to a quiet café by the lake — a wooden house surrounded by trees. There’s no music here, just birds, breeze, and the sound of a cold drink being sipped slowly. They tell me about the cities they’ve seen. I tell them about growing up here, fishing with a net and no shoes.
We don’t need perfect English. We’re already connected.
9:30 AM – Nha Trang Grilled Pork Rolls – Wrapping It All Up Our last stop: a family-owned food stall grilling nem nướng (pork rolls) over hot coals. They roll them up with herbs, noodles, mango, and dipping sauce. One hand rolls. One hand dips. Both hands clap with joy.
10:00 AM – Back to the resort. But not the same people. On the way home, the woman says: "Tram, this wasn’t just breakfast. It felt like your home opened a door for us."
I smile. Because that’s what Vietnam Flavor Tour is about — not just feeding people. But letting them truly taste our way of life.
Vietnam Flavor Tour – Don’t eat like a tourist. Eat like someone who belongs.
